Sorry this has been so long in coming. As you know, the schedule can be difficult to work out once school starts. Thank you for your flexibility.
CTHS is hosting the administration team meetings this year. This means that every administrator in the district will be in attendance at CT on Friday and Monday. Because we are hosting such an important event, we were asked to welcome the district administration in the same way that we welcome the teachers on their first day. This will be from 9:00 to 9:45am this friday. I know it's short notice. If you can't make it because you are out of town, please let me know ASAP. But it's important that if you are here you attend. We need to make a good showing. Because it's short notice, I will offer 1 full community service point for those who can make it.
Friday, August 1st - Admin welcome from 9:00-9:45am. Wear Trail with white bow. 1 full point community service since it's short notice. Please tell me ASAP if you are out of town. Otherwise, please plan to attend.
Monday, August 4th: We ALL have tumbling at UE. 3:30-4:30.
Tuesday, August 5th: 7:45am-10:00am. **Sophomores, you have registration today. We will end ON TIME so you can do your registration FOLLOWING PRACTICE. Ribbon Cutting ceremony at the new elementary, details to follow.
Wednesday, August 6th: UE from 3:30-4:30
Thursday. August 7th: 7:45am-10:00am **Link leaders, you have Link training immediately following practice this day.
Friday, August 8th: 8:00am-10:45am: Practice 10:45-12:00pm, we will have a team bonding. The team bonding is a pedicure party that will double as a fundraiser. Any purchase you make during the pedis - 20% of the cost will go to your personal account.
Saturday, August 9th: OFF
Sunday, August 10th: NO CONTACT.
Monday, August 11th: UE 3:30-4:30 captain's meeting to follow at UE.
Tuesday, August 12th: Teacher welcome 6:30am-7:15am (1/2 pt community service) then Practice, cafeteria from 3:00-5:30
Wednesday, August 13th: UE 3:30-4:30
Thursday, August 14: NO PRACTICE, Freshman BBQ
Friday, August 15th: NO PRACTICE - Freshman orientation
Saturday, August 16th: Practice 8am-12pm aux gym (we will have a half hour break during practice time)
Sunday, August 17th: NO CONTACT
Monday, August 18th: First day of school, wear uniform TBD. UE at 3:30.
**We only have 30 practices until our first competition. That may feel like a LOT, but in the grand scheme of things, it is NOT a lot of time.
Other calendar notes:
August 5th is a BIG day - sally challenges, timed mile, chant test. We have ribbon cutting to attend at the new elementary school at 5:45pm. Details to come. ALSO, payment #3 is due. We are in the process of organizing another August fundraiser for September's payments. Details to come soon.
Please continue to look at long range planning to make sure you are taking care of your practice schedule commitments. Practice times will change through the season to accommodate our needs as a team. It's important that you work outside obligations around cheer practice.
